Saturday, June 22, 2013 is the 119th Annual Midsummer celebration at Sveadal. This is an amazing event. There are things for the whole family to do. Bring a picnic lunch, bring or purchase dinner. There are Swedish handicrafts to buy, snaps to taste and an afternoon of dancing around the Maypole. Sveadal (Swedish Valley) is a magical place, and the whole experience is like being in a Swedish village. Once you go, you will be hooked!
Here are a couple of hints for a good time:
Helan Går lyrics (a drinking song, you have to try it at least once!):
Små Grodorna (a song to sing and dance around the Maypole – it is about little frogs) (this video is not from Sveadal, but it gives you an idea of the dance).
